The first very known indicator of wealth in astrology is the benefics in the house of wealth. The benefics are Jupiter (the greater benefic) and Venus (the lesser benefic). However, just because you have such planets in your second house, that doesn’t automatically mean that you’re going to be wealthy.

For real wealth, the benefics have to be strong. So, for example, if we find Jupiter in Pisces connected to the Moon or Venus in a positive way, that’s a good wealth indicator.

Whilst, if, for example, we find Venus in its detriment or in its fall, with squares or oppositions to the planets such as Mars or Saturn, that changes the picture completely. It then could indicate many expenditures or constant obstacles in finances.

Therefore, for the benefics to really make a difference, they have to be strong in the second house. They should not be retrograde. The aspects should be good. They should ideally be positively connected to luminaries or to each other.

However, the presence of benefics in the second house, even if they are weak, may prevent a person from being poor. But they may not be able to keep the money, or they may find that finances always present challenges and obstacles in their lives.

Another indicator of wealth is the ruler of the Ascendant in the second house, or vice versa. The ruler of the Ascendant in the second house would indicate that the person would be motivated to make money, whilst the ruler of the second house on the Ascendant would mean that money quite naturally comes to a person.

Again, this is the meaning by itself, but we must always check the conditions of the second house and Ascendant rulers.

Now another indicator of success in life, which often means in this world money accumulation, is the ruler of the Ascendant in the tenth house, or tenth house ruler on the Ascendant.

Again, the ruler of the Ascendant in the tenth house would mean that the person would be ambitious in career and for status, and if the ruler of the tenth house is on the Ascendant, it would mean that even if one doesn’t try, they will be put in a good position in life, which often means that good money will be made.

If there are good aspects between the Sun and Moon, this often indicates that the person will have few money problems and they may accumulate wealth. However, the conjunction between these luminaries often has the opposite effect, unless taking place in the house of wealth which would indicate a total focus on making money (which often results in wealth).

But for good aspects between the Sun and Moon to really make a difference, other indicators should be there as well, such as a trine between Venus and Jupiter. But if instead, we find Saturn in the house of wealth, that would reduce money-accumulation capacity, and can give obstacles and delays to making money.

So as you can see, no one indicator can assure wealth. The whole chart must be considered, wealth-bringing and poverty-causing indicators should be weighed, and a balanced conclusion should be arrived at.

A good indicator of money is strong Moon, like the Moon in Taurus or Cancer. because the Moon is the planet of fertility and it influences growth. If it has good aspects to the Sun or benefics, and is in a good house, even if it’s not in a house of wealth, it can assure good income.

Another, yet less powerful indicator of money, is if the Sun is strong, such as it being in Leo or Aries, and making good aspects, as well as found in a good house.

If both luminaries are angular and unafflicted, in good signs, that would indicate that the person is going to be successful, so they are likely to have money too.

If the Moon or Sun conjunct good fixed stars, that can also increase their power. So if they are found unafflicted and with powerful fixed stars, that can give wealth.

If the benefics are angular, unafflicted, that again indicates that the person can make good money. The weaker they are and the more afflictions they have, the more money flow lessens.

Even if one benefic is unafflicted, in a good house, like Venus in Pisces in the eleventh house, that shows that the person will have luck, and will be able to gain money.
