The world of birth and death is not our home. But because we are identified with it, we believe ourselves to be these mortal bodies living in an ever-changing, unpredictable world.

But there is a way out. And the exit is in the way you think about the world. Like it’s told in A Course in Miracles:

Seek not to change the world, but choose to change your mind about the world.

People who go about changing the world miss the whole point. The world exists because of an error in thinking. It cannot be perfect. It was born out of imperfection (ignorance).

Our home is not it. Our home is total love, peace and harmony, called Heaven in ACIM and by Christians. The way back home is to become of the vibration of our home.

We are co-creators with God. If we believe ourselves to be little victim bodies in a scary world, there’s not enough energy to ascend. But if we understand that we are immortal spirits who created this world, this is the thinking in harmony with the truth.

When you are crushed by the world, you don’t act like a creator but like a victim. Because you stay in your little (ego) self, you cannot ascend and transcend. But if you work with your mind, to reframe all that happens to you, and your thinking is in harmony with the fact that you are the dreamer (the creator) of this dream, it will free you.

If you react to the world, you’re of its vibration and cannot transcend it. It’s an energy realm, a lower dimension. To go up and therefore exit it, you need to be on top of it instead of acting face to face with it. Which means seeing all that happens as a lesson, as the manifestation of an error in your mind, and work to release all such errors.

That’s a way out.
