Since many people prefer not using Paypal, in the recent past I introduced Patreon as a method of payment. Yet it’s a monthly subscription service so it’s not comfortable to pay it for one-off service and then having to cancel it.
So I’m introducing yet another alternative – Bitcoin. I’ve started investing in crypto currency as I see this investment more safe than keeping money in the bank because of the economic uncertainty. Of course, much research is needed so I’m learning about this new investment every day.
Therefore since I have crypto wallets, now I can accept payments to them.
In case you’re interested, I’m trading with Coinbase. This company will give you $10 if you buy or sell $100 or more after signing up through my link if you’re interested.
It’s one of the safest and most established crypto exchange platforms. I do consider crypto currencies a good investment in these uncertain times yet like for any investment, you need to study.
This kind of alternative payment is also going to benefit people who want total privacy. For example, some people who want to use my astrological services would rather remain anonymous. Therefore this is going to be a good solution for them if they are involved in crypto currency already.
I also like this alternative currency because it’s not controlled by any government. Of course, that means that sometimes this currency is used to pay for illegal things because nobody has to know your identity for you to be able to buy things; yet anything can be used for good or evil.
Therefore you can pay for any product or service that I offer using this currency (Bitcoin in particular), or you can choose to donate. My Bitcoin wallet address is 1JBmU9hYc7xysuuGZ4LiNXPyVZhCVYWwsN and the QR code is this:
Lastly, if you’re already trading this currency or have experience in this kind of investment, please share your experience (if you can) in the comments below.
It is good to see you getting into crypto 🙂
I do hope you are using cold storage for the wallet.
I’d caution you against using mainstream exchanges such as coinbase if you truly want to have privacy. Look into Bisq or localbitcoin.
I’d also recommend to look into Monero (XMR)
Thank you for these suggestions, Sud. I will look into these platforms.
Yes, please do look into Monero as a truly private payment option, much like cash.
It’s good that you’re getting into crypto.
Your best bet is to keep everything on your own wallet on your own computer and not on someone else’s site.
Coinbase has been known to sell user data and also give it to the IRS.

Thank you for this, Rob. Are you trading? Which trading platform do you recommend?
Right now crypto.com is a good exchange (if you don’t mind KYC which banks would typically do). New users of that platform can buy crypto with credit card (or debit) and then can also trade on that platform a fair selection of cryptos for 0% trade fees for first 90 days of new account. Also, their token CRO has been a very nice place to stake (ie. parking funds to get some interest) some funds into since the token price has recently begun to resume a good long term uptrend. Part of the fundamental cause such price action has been the crypto.com platform incentivizing using their token to stake in order to gain access to their special programs (such as discount sales of select cryptos). As for decentralized exchanges, I am still looking for one I like enough to share.
Again, thank you for this useful information. I’m learning about crypto trading daily so these are very important things to know. I ended up using Binance over Coinbase because of lower fees; but once I’m a better trader I will look for alternatives. Binance is great now for testing things out.
Please be aware that although Bitcoin can be used anonymously it most often is not and the standard way of using Bitcoin (especially with KYC involved) is very traceable.
Monero is a good privacy coin that is by default private and can transact as easily as Bitcoin. To obtain it you can use localmonero.co to find a local seller for cash, avoiding any listings that ask for identification (which would not be private).
That’s very useful to know. Thank you, Alexsei.
